Africa has traditionally been the centre of the international activities of the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung. In co-operation with partners in politics and society it is contributing in many countries to consolidate and intensify the process of democratisation and economic change.
FES Uganda contributes to this transformation process through programmes on democratisation and good governance,
the promotion of
Public Dialogue and Civic Education through
Trade Unions and
Media activities,
Gender and women participation,
Youth activities and the strengthening of
Regional Integration.
FES Uganda has established a wide range of partnerships with government institutions at national and regional levels, with civic groups and trade unions.
In co-operation with these groups the foundation, based in Kampala, is organising various discussion forums, seminars, workshops, conferences, research studies and publications.
